Definition

  • XOT (X.25 over TCP) is a protocol that allows transport of X25 packets in a TCP connection..
  • Cisco is at the origin.
  • It is described in RFC 1613.

Operation

  • For each X25 connexion, there is a associated TCP/ IP cpnnexion through which packets are exchanged.
  • The encapsulation is to precede each packet X25 a header containing the length of the packet.
